Nature Poem... Insectoids...

Insectoids

Fascinated with human nature
And with ourselves as humanoids
What about  the other “oids in nature
The insectoids?

Butterfly dancing on wings
Of iridescent light
Angels of the insect world
Delicate flying cosmograms

Cicadas buzzing at the speed of life
Humming with frenzy
Vibrating the trees with anticipation
Of imminent procreation

Honeybee humming her songs
Into flower petal ears
Accompanied by the breeze

Roses and snapdragons sway

Grasshoppers hop and munch
Hopping and munching
Spitting tobacco juice
It stains the palm of my hand

Houseflies clean their tiny feet
And delicate rainbowed wings
Searching for garbage to dispose
Donating their children to the cause
